How To Get Involved?
Mason Community Dental Clinic (MCDC) is a service of the Mason County Children’s Dental Coalition. There are many ways to get involved in improving the oral health of Mason County residents including:
• Volunteer
Dental professionals are needed to staff MCDC clinic days. MCDC will schedule volunteers based on their availability and preferred procedure and clientele criteria. If you are interested in this community service opportunity, please fill out the Dental Volunteer Profile form.
• Donations
Mason Community Dental Clinic is a non-profit 501c(3) clinic. Monetary and dental supply donations to MCDC are tax-deductible and always appreciated. Donations are used to provide dental care for people in need and for cavity prevention efforts in the community. • Attend Coalition Meetings
Mason County Children’s Dental Coalition meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 5:30-7:00 at the Community Action Council (807 W Railroad Ave, Shelton WA).
The mission of Mason County Children’s Dental Coalition is to improve the oral health of children and adults by increasing access to dental care, promoting cavity prevention through dental education, and raising community awareness of dental needs in Mason County. Our projects include:
Maternity Oral Health Kits – oral hygiene instruction and supplies given to parents of babies born at Mason General Hospital.
Community Education - oral health education and hygiene supplies distributed during Children’s Oral Health Month, The Children’s Festival, at local Head Start/ECEAP preschools, EvenStart, Save Our County’s Kids Youth Center, and more.
Mason Community Dental Clinic (MCDC) - a non-profit, volunteer-operated clinic that provides affordable primary and preventive dental care for Mason County residents who lack dental insurance or access to care. Services include emergent, preventive, diagnostic, basic restorative and surgical care.
