Patient Eligibility Criteria

Mason Community Dental Clinic prioritizes its services to the following Mason County populations:

  1. Children 6 years and old who have Medicaid and are unable to find a local dentist.
  2. Pregnant women with Medicaid who are unable to find a local dentist.
  3. Low-income (<200% FPL) and uninsured adults with dental emergencies are seen on a sliding fee scale.
  4. Adults enrolled in the Early Intervention Program (EIP) and are on Mason County Public Health HIV/AIDS Case Management program.
  5. Other adults with Medicaid will be seen as schedule permits.

Proof of residency will the required.

Low-income, uninsured adults with dental emergencies are expected to bring $25.00 to their first visit. Depending upon treatment needs and income levels, there many be a co-payment for further treatment

Individuals with dental coverage resources will not be seen at the Mason Community Dental Clinic. Children who are under 6 years and are income-eligible for Medicaid will be referred to the ABCD program. Children who have a primary coverage though private dental insurance and have Medicaid as secondary coverage will be referred to private providers who accept the primary dental insurance plan.

Priority Populations for the Mason Community Dental Clinic:

  1. Medicaid-eligible children between the ages of 6 – 8 years,
  2. Adults presenting at Mason General Hospital’s ER with emergent dental problems,
  3. Pregnant women participating in the Medicaid program,
  4. Persons with HIV/AIDS.
